scarf print designs
‘designing a printed scarf is like creating a painting, the fabric a flat canvas but then at the same time, imagining how the design will transform when wrapped around the human body, a three dimensional form’

The designs are printed, either by silkscreen or digitally on fine Australian merino wool, silk or linen. Subjects vary from abstracts and geometrics to florals and plants. Often working from her own photographs, particularly close ups, Deborah uses Photoshop and Illustrator to develop her print designs. Colour is intrinsic to each design. This gallery consists of a selection of Deborah’s scarf designs on merino wool.
