inspiration:
the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative

Deborah Emmett observes the environment around her to create her collection of textile print designs. Sources of inspiration are diverse ranging from nature to digital media. Her Australian background has influenced her love of the ocean and landscape which is reflected in her creative projects. Often working from her own photographs, paticularly close ups, she then computer generates the print designs using Photoshop and Illustrator. Colour is intrinsic to each design which Deborah explores by developing a number of colourways for each fabric print.

Collaborations with other designers, artisans and galleries has resulted in the creation of a broad range of textile print designs for clothing, scarves and home interiors. Deborah enjoys developing designs according to customers's briefs for specific events or organisations.
